I am running because Farmington needs open communication, prepared growth, and leadership that brings people together. I want residents to feel heard, informed, and confident that City Hall is working for them. We need a new voice, a new vision, and new impact to ensure that Farmington can still feel like a small town and have community tradition while pivoting to bring us into the future.
I want to make city information timely, understandable, and accessible while creating meaningful opportunities for residents to participate in their local government. My goal is to make communication from City Hall consistent, transparent, and easy to understand. Residents should know what decisions are being considered before they are made, not learn about them after the fact. I would publish clear meeting notices, plain-language agenda summaries, and follow-up reports explaining what the City Council decided, why those decisions were made, and how they will affect our community.
We should draw strength from our history and community identity while remaining open to the changes needed for a better future. We should encourage development that fits the community, protect the qualities residents value, and make sure new growth contributes to the infrastructure and services it requires. We must also continue to create opportunities for neighbors to connect through parks, local businesses, community events, and civic participation. The goal is for Farmington to keep feeling like home while preparing responsibly for what our city is becoming.
We need to strengthen our community partnerships, advance connections between the chamber of commerce and the farmers market, and build a strong strategy to better strengthen economic growth and impact. My goal is simple: a strong community leads to a stronger local economy, new business development, new housing development, and less red tape around development.
