I am running because Farmington needs open communication, prepared growth and leadership that brings people together. I want residents to feel heard, informed and confident that City Hall is working for them.
Make city information timely, understandable and accessible while creating meaningful opportunities for residents to participate.
I would make communication from City Hall consistent, timely and easy to understand.
Residents should know what decisions are being considered before they are made, not learn about them
afterward. I would publish clear meeting notices, plain-language agenda summaries and follow-up
reports explaining what the City Council decided and how those decisions affect the community.
Communication requires several methods because not everyone receives information through social
media. Important information should be shared through the city website, email, social media and printed
materials. I would also create regular community conversations, online question submissions,
neighborhood outreach and scheduled opportunities to meet with the mayor.
Most importantly, communication must work both ways. I would listen to residents, respond respectfully
and make sure questions reach the appropriate city department. Even when the answer is not what
someone hoped to hear, they deserve a clear explanation.
My goal would be simple: residents should feel informed, heard and welcome at City Hall.
Plan responsibly for roads, traffic, water, sewer, public safety and the financial demands created by growth.
Preserving Farmington's character does not mean resisting change. It means being intentional about how we grow.
We should draw strength from our history and community identity while remaining open to the changes needed for a better future. We should encourage development that fits the community, protect the qualities residents value and make sure new growth contributes to the infrastructure and services it requires.
We must also continue creating opportunities for neighbors to connect through parks, local businesses, community events and civic participation. The goal is for Farmington to keep feeling like home while preparing responsibly for what our city is becoming.
Bring residents, city employees, the City Council, businesses,
schools and community organizations together to address challenges and build opportunities.
